Chapter 35. This Cemetery is located on 1 acre of land lying NE 1/4, NW 1/4, NW 1/4, NW 1/4 of Section 9, of Washington Twp., Page Co., IA. In the old North Star School District, near the town of Northboro is located 3 3/4 miles Southwest of this Cemetery. It was read on Sep. 08, 1974, by Barbara Hartman and Betty Ankney. There are only head-stone standing in 1974, all with MARTIN surname. so they decided to rename after Harry Smith property owner at that time. Revised and edited in 1995, by Paul R. Sarrett, Jr. Notes with ( ) made from Obit., etc. MARTIN, Robert, Sep 16, 1826 - Nov 21, 1990 MARTIN, Margaret, Apr 07, 1833 - Aug 25, 1877 (w/o Robert Martin) MARTIN, Margaret, d. Aug 25, 1866, aged 44y 10m (w/o Robert) MARTIN, Ulysses S. Grant, Oct 14, 1872 - Dec 14, 1873 MARTIN, U.S.S. Grant, d. Oct 14, 1873 aged 1y 4m 10d This is just one family, husband, wife and son. Notice the discreptancy in dates, but this is the way the three stones read.
