I'm trying to identify the painter of an oil on canvas portrait of my great grandmother Marie Agatha Brandl Egloff (1823-1895). The artist's initials are "TRS". They appear in red in the lower left-hand corner of the painting. The painting, 15 1/2" wide by 19 1/2 inches high, was probably completed in the late 1880's to early 1890's in Mason City Iowa. Any information on this or other portrait artists in Iowa in that
period would be appreciated.
