3. My aunt, Mary Ann Gardner, bought a large Family Bible at the Salvation Army Store in Omaha in 1994. It is the Family Bible for the Shannon Wilson Family.
Mr. Wilson was born July 26, 1842, died Nov. 29, 1891 in Greenup, Illinois. He married Rebecca Smith, born Nov. 28, 1849. She died July 14, 1898, also in Greenup.
They had three children: Frank Edwin, born Jan 19, 1871 in Casey, Illinois, died Dec. 23, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana; Thomas Benton, born August 9, 1872 in Casey, Illinois; John Kelley, born Feb. 2, 1877 in Casey, Illinois.
Frank had married Febekah De Vault on June 7, 1899 (no birth date), died Nov. 25, 1919 in Indianapolis. They had two children: Pierson Parmalee, born Dec. 25, 1900 and Beatrice Jeanne, born Sept. 21, 1921.
John Kelley married Anna Bess Mayer on Mar. 23, 1902. They had one child, Pauline MeDore, born in Sedalia, Missouri on July 14, 1903.
Beatrice Jeanne Wilson married Charles E. Rogers on Oct. 26, 1940 in Columbus, OH and had three children: Gwendolyn, born Mar. 6, 1946; Charles, born July 29, 1947; Jaynet, born April 3, 1955; John, born August 28, 1956.
These are the last names in the book, which also contains some photos in a small album in the back of the Bible, a few newspaper clippings, bookmarks and some pressed flowers.
She would like to find the family to see if they would like to have it back. She paid $50.00 for it as a Christmas gift for her son, Todd, who passed away in 1996. Please contact David Head.
