She was born August 29, 1840 in Lockport, Illinois and died February 1,1917 near Wall Lake, Iowa. They were the parents of 12 children, 9 living in 1916. 

1. Mary Ellen Lyons was born November 2,1862 near Odell, Illinois. She married John Coyne August 14,1884. He was born September 4,1858. He died October 22,1918 and she died March 19,1942, they are buried in Wall Lake, Iowa cemetery.  They were the parents of eight children.

1. Eugene Edward was born August 5,1900 in Joliet, Illinois. He married Ruth M. Garnatz November 11,1922. She was born in 1905. He died September 29,1962 and she died February 25,1977. They are buried in the Wall Lake, Iowa cemetery. They were the parents of three children.
