 Icabod was born June 28,1819. He married Mary A. Frick Stough April 17,1855 in Rock Island, Illinois. She was born February 7,1821 and died March 19,1892 in Odebolt, Iowa. 

Seymour Bartlett was born September 28,1881 in Vail, Iowa. He died January 28,1951 in Odebolt, Iowa.  He married Tillie Marie Schramm December 9,1882 and she died October 17,1945 in Odebolt.    Children;

(I believe he and Seymour may have been brothers.  He died January 26,1960 in Wall Lake, Iowa.  At the time of his death he was survived by two sisters and a brother, Sadie Abbott, Libby Petty and William. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

George was married to Sadie Shupitor January 7,1915. She died August 1,1935. They were the parents of five children.

Benjamin Belt was born in Ohio. He married Mary Ann Jewell, a native of Ohio. She died in Illinois. Benjamin died in Sac County, Iowa at the age of eighty-six.  They were the parents of six children.

George Blass was born in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany October 1836. His parents were Lenhart and Anna May Hoch Blass. He married Margaret Kessler in 1865 in Lee County, Illionois.  She was born January 13,1847 in Eisenach Province, Saxony, Germany to Conrad Bonial Kessler and Margaret Baumgardner.  George died November 14,1898 and Margaret died March 26,1929. They were the parents of ten children. 

1. George Jr. was born in Chicago, Illinois September 6,1866.  He married Katherine Hoefling March 2,1892. She was born December 24,1871.  George died November 16,1938 and Katherine died February 18,1954. They are buried in the Early, Iowa Cemetery.  They were the parents of eleven children. 

1. Charles C. was born September 23,1893 and died January 21,1919 in France in WWI. He is buried in the Expenditionary Forces Cemetery in Indre, France.

She is also buried in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City, Iowa.  Jared and Eunice had six children and Jared and Louisa had two children.

                  D.  Margarette A. born before 1852 and died 1907-1909 

                  E.  Nancy was born before 1852 and died before 1894       

F.      Eunice Olive was born before 1852 and died 1907-1909 

G.     Matthew J. was born after 1856 at Union, Iowa and died early 1908 or 1909. 

H.     Minnie was born after 1856. She married Stephen Skinner.  They were living in Sac County in 1894. 

 

**Three of Louisa’s stepdaughters died within the last 18 months of her death, which occurred in 1909.

CRISS

Eugene Criss was born July 27,1822 in Preston County, West Virginia to Michael Criss and Maria Armstrong Criss.  He married Frances Hall March 9,1843. She was born May 16,1823 in Knottsville, Monongahela County, West Virginia.  He died March 11,1903 in Sac City and she died November 19,1916 in Sac City, Iowa.  They were the parents of six children. 

1. Mary Jane was born February 22,1844 in Preston County, West Virginia. She married William Garland Wine Spring of 1866. He was born February 26,1844. He passed away in Marshalltown, Iowa April, 1926. She died March 21,1931 in Sac City. They are buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Sac City, Iowa.  They were the parents of four children. 

1. Lacey A. was born February 13,1867 in Sac City, Iowa. He died May 2,1933. He married EuDella Kiser June 12,1902. She was born in 1866 and died in 1942. They are buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Sac City, Iowa. They had no children but did raise Caroline Kerns.

 

2. Hattie B. She married Lamont Lee and later Lee Irwin.

 

3. Ella E. She married J.B. Rowe

 

4. Elnora “Nora” was born in 1873 and died in 1893. She married Delmont Goldsmith. He was born in 1871 and died in 1956.

 

2. James L. was born November 1846 

3. Helen V. was born in 1848 in Illinois. She married Levi Davis. 

4. Nancy Emeline married Robert Lamoreux. 

5. Lola M. was born in 1861 and died in 1897. She married Dolph H. Beimer. He was born in 1856 and died in 1931.  They had three children. 

1. Neva Ora was born in 1890 and died in 1925

6. William Henry was born in Sac City, Iowa on July 17,1857 and died October 20,1918. He married Alice Leah Bechler October 24,1886. She was born April 14,1864 in Pennsylvania. She died in 1950.  They are buried in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City.  They had seven children. 

1. Leon Bechler Criss was born September 8,1887 and died March 24,1967. He is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City.
2. Una was born August 21,1894 and died January 1970 in California. She married ? Chapman.
3. Eugene was born in Sac City, Iowa December 15,1892. He married Alice Viola Wykle in Omaha, Nebraska on August 8,1922. She was born September 9,1892 in Radcliffe, Iowa. He died February 14,1974 in Sac City and she died December 5,1983 in Sac City. They are buried in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City.  They had two children.

 

a. Eugene Jr. was born September 15,1925. He married Emogene Oslo November 26,1950. They have three children.

b.      John Henry was born April 11,1927 

4. Georgia was born December 15,1892 (a twin to Eugene). She married ? Gemuend.  She died January 1983.

 

5. Ralph 1902-1903, age 1 year, 9 months

 

6. Glenn 1898-1918

 

7. Verlyn was born September 18,1905 in Sac City. He died February 3,1983 in Sac City.  He married Lavera Lange April 4,1934 in Sac City. They had one child.   They are buried in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City.

7. Infant-no dates, buried in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City, Iowa.
