PLEASANT VALLEY. Lies on the west bank of the Mississippi river, in Scott County, 9 miles northeast of Davenport (c.h.), its shipping station. Shipments, wheat, corn, onions and stock. Population, 200. Stages to LeClaire and Davenport: fares, 35c. and 50c. Mail daily. J. Monroe, postmaster.
