photo of Isaac & Catherine Port's oldest son, John Calvin Port, He was probably born in 1859. The picture was probably taken right around the beginning of 1866 when John Port was about 7 years old. The photo was enclosed in a letter to Catherine's sister Emma Hoover Galloway, sent by their mother, Margaret Hanson Hoover.

That letter was referred to in Emma Galloway's diary for February 24, 1866: "letter from Mother with Cas and her children's photographs."
