This picture from the Davenport Democrat and Leader is marked July 8th 1920 in pencil. John Rochau [pronounced Rocco like rock] was married to my grandfather Julius Bargholz' sister Sophia. As a boy my dad spent time on this farm. The Rochau family still has members in the Davenport/Iowa city area and the farm still is in the family.Last year they had a major family reunion which I think is a fairly regular affair.
