We are a small group of genealogical enthusiasts who concentrate on
researching the Dubuque County, Iowa area. We are not associated with any local
chapter or society. We identify local area records that may be of interest to
the family researcher; abstract them (or transcribe them verbatim when possible)
and make them available for publication. Many times the records are not well
known and are not easily accessible to researchers.
On this site you will find many sources of information including a list of
all known cemeteries in the county with stone readings, all the known research
efforts into reading the cemeteries and transcriptions of
various Dubuque County area relevant historical documents.

The rainy weather limited reading opportunities on my last trip, but we did manage to gather the group and read Section 1 of Mt. Calvary and Holy Trinity in Luxemburg. They will
both be posted soon.

This time round we were all over the county and completed:
- Linwood 1-H
- Linwood 1-I
- Mt. Hope (New Wine Township)
- St. Catherine Catholic (Mosalem Township)
- Holy Family (which finishes Vernon Township)
I will post these readings over the next couple of weeks as I finish putting them in the computer, making maps, etc. This will probably be the last set
of readings until the spring.

Happy Halloween everyone! A couple of weeks ago we went out for another read. We
started Holy Family which probably won't be finished until next spring. We did
get another section of Mt. Calvary done. The new section of the St. Francis
Sisters burials is now read.
