I am searching for descendants of Isaac Willard Livengood b. 1874 Elmo, Nodaway Co., MO and his wife, Amanda Virginia "Jenny" Fowler b. 1872 Osage Co., MO. They had at least 3 children we know about and we know that some went on to Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA but we are not POSITIVE where Isaac Willard (sometimes says William) Livengood and his wife died in Woodbury Co., IA, we cannot locate them after the 1920 Census when they lived in Castana, Kennebec, Monona Co., IA. We just assume they followed the children to Sioux City where we heard they went.

The children were:

1. Edna Livengood b. December 1897 prob Castana, Monona Co., IA do not know who she married or where she went.

2. Warren S. Livengood b. July 21, 1901 prob Castana, Monona Co., IA died October 1984 Morningside, Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA but do not know where buried to see if parents buried there.

3. Albert "Harold" Livengood b. August 22, 1905 prob Castana, Monona Co., IA

I think that Amanda Virginia "Jenny" Fowler Livengood is half sister to my grandpa, John Henry Fowler b. Jan 6, 1880 Searcy Co., AR. I would love to contact any descendants of this family. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank you for your time.

I am wondering if anyone can either look up and obit for me or point me in the right direction to find it myself. I am looking for the obit of Robert Lyons born 12 Jan 1821 and died 23 Nov 1896 in Peiro Bethel. He is buried at Correctionville. His home was in Lucky Valley and was know as one of the very first residents of the area -- coming even before his son George who "founded" the post office and began the cemetery at Peiro Bethel. (George also named the town.) Robert had two wives. The first, Susan Brink, he married on 27 June 1841 in Pike Co., PA. Susan died in 1862 in Decorah, IA. In 1866, he married Francis Ann Thomas. Altogether, Robert had 17 children! I have been to the libraries in Sioux City and was unable to find an obit there. I would think there were local papers (The Anthon Herald, right?). However, living in St. Louis, I am finding it difficult to get access to them. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I will gladly exchange "help" if anyone needs something from the St. Louis Metro area. Thank you!

My great-grandfather was named Joseph Lilly and he married a woman named Sarah Sidles. They had a son, Frank Aaron Lilly, who was born in Correctionville in 1871. I secured Joseph's and Sarah's names from Frank's Nebraska death certificate. I believe, but don't know for sure, that Joseph and Sarah are buried in Woodbury County, probably at Correctionville. How can I go about finding out for sure? Also, if a person can find that out, they could also probably located real estate records of some sort that might lead me to their "home place", wouldn't they? Can you help me find their burial places, or at least tell me where I can look before I travel to Woodbury County?

I am looking for information on my great great grandfather and his descendants. If that query is too large then I will just ask for information on him only. His name is Swan Peter LARSON. Immigration records state Sven Petter Larsson, born Sept 7, 1844 in Ringarum parish, Ostergotland county, Sweden. He left the port of Goteborg with 3 other men on April 30, 1880 and he had a ticket for Chicago. I don't know where or what he did until 1891 when he sent for his wife (Kristina Karlotta Persdotter) and 2 children (Karl Axle and Hilma Karlotta) in 1891. They left Goteborg on May 20, 1891 and had tickets to Sioux City. Swan and his wife lived on a small farm on old Hiway 20 near Hinton and sold potatoes. They moved to the farm in Hinton in 1901. He retired in Sioux City in 1918 and lived at 1919 Wall Street. Hilma was 20 (born Nov 19, 1871) when she came over, so kept her name Hilma Karlotta Swanson. She married Alfred Larson (no relation) in Sioux City, and then was known by Hilma Swanson Larson. She was a member of First Covenant Church in Sioux City. Thanks so very much for your valuable time and please feel free to ask for additional info if needed.

Would like to hear from any HARDY or HARDY descendants whose ancestors came from Massachusetts. I have a book written in 1935 called HARDY & HARDIE, and I would be glad to see if your HARDY is in it. Also interested in descendents of Frank LOWRY (born 1905 and died in 1952). My regular address: Terry B. Hardy, 200 Lindhardt Rd., Carlisle, Iowa 50047. Phone: (515) 989-4121 & 989-3324.Thank you.

I need to make a correction to the query I just submitted. It would be descendants of Elmer LOWRY (born 1870 in DeWitt, Iowa and died 16 Mar 1936 in Stevens, S.D.) and his wife Phoebe Ann HARDY (1st wife) and Marie Lee HILTON (his second wife). Thank you.

Help! I am looking for information on Oscar (or Oscar Ernest, he went by both) LUDWIG. Born May 1881 in Sioux City. I need to know information about him. How he died, where he died, who his parents were. According to some old, faded documents, it mention William Fredrick LUDWIG. I am trying to do my grandfathers line, and have hit a major stumbling block. Oscar was married to Helen Elise TIARKS. I have no information on her either, it seems that the records are gone. Thanks Lisa

ROGERS, LIVERMORE, ZERFING. Morris Joel ROGERS and his wife CHARLOTTE (LIVERMORE) ROGERS lived and died (1893 and 1895, respectively) in Oto, Woodbury Co. They were my gr-gr-grparents. I would really, really love to hear from anyone who may have info on this couple. Or any of the ROGERS or LIVERMORE or ZERFING families of this area. I would be delighted to share what I have and thank everyone (anyone!) in advance.

I am looking for any information on Giles LIVINGSTON, who was residing in Danbury, Woodbury Co. IA, in 1892. I am looking for a family connection, as Giles, along with Lafayette and Tracy LIVINGSTON of West Union, Fayette Co. IA, and Louisa MILLER, of same, were named as next of kin of John LIVINGSTON of Cincinnatus, Cortland Co. NY. I suspect these were children of one of John's siblings, and am looking for the parents of these children.
