Alfred O Jensen

Alfred O Jensen, 73, died at his home Wednesday, April 30 following an extended illness. He was born February 2, 1907 in Ovid to Lars P Jensen and Margaret Hymas. He spent his entire life in Ovid working as a farmer rancher and retired as an engineer on the Union Pacific Railroad after 31 years of service.
He was actively engaged in civic affaires, having served as a R-H leader in Bear Lake County for 30 years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served a mission with his wife to the Northern Indian mission. He married Ivy Kunz November 3, 1926 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Survivors include his widow, Ovid, one son, Don K Jensen, Ovid, one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Elaine), Paris; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Matthews and Mrs. Leda Michaelson, both Montpelier; Mrs. W K (Idell) Matthews, Liberty; two brothers, C T Jensen, and Wesley Jensen, both Ovid. He was proceeded in death by one son.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, May 3 in the Liberty Ward Chapel and interment was in the Ovid Cemetery.
