The Montpelier Examiner, July 19, 1912
Bishop Hoff informs us that work will begin next week on the Second ward meeting house on north Eighth street. The edifice will be 35X60 feet in dimensions and will be constructed of concrete and brick.
Besides the furnace room, the basement will contain six rooms, which will be used by the Sunday School, Primary, Relief Society and Mutual associations. The main auditorium will seat 350 people.
It is their intention, said Bishop Hoff, to get the building enclosed this fall and the basement completed so it can be used for meeting purposes until the upper floor is completed next year. The estimated cost fo the meeting house is $10,000, exclusive of the seats and other furnishings.
