Pieces of the Past
The Montpelier Examiner, February 25, 1910
PLEASANT SOCIAL AT BENNINGTON
A social was given at Bennington meeting house
on Thursday evening, Feb 17 in honor of Mr. and Mrs. John Dunn, who have lived
in this valley for 46 years and who have traveled along life's pathway together
for 55 years. Besides the large number of friends there were present four
sons and their wives, three daughters and their husbands and 11 grandchildren.
The people of Geneva are feeling jubilant over the prospects of the construction of a telephone line early this spring, which will give them connection with Montpelier, Cokeville and other outside points. J W Cook and George Hall are pushing this enterprise and they fell certain that they are going to get it through. These gentlemen gave very interesting talks at the meeting house last Sunday.
