Boundary County
Cemeteries
The persons listed here are those who have lived part of their lives in Boundary County, or are associated with it in some way. Whether they lived many years in Boundary County, or just a few, they have enriched our history, and we are grateful for their influence.
We know quite a bit about some of them, such as Martha Doust, buried in Paradise Valley Cemetery. Martha was born 4 Dec 1844 in Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Ezekial McConnell, of Ireland. She married Edwin Doust, and died 7 Oct 1926.
Others remain nameless, such as the numberless Chinese who died working on the railroad, who are buried in a common grave at Crossport.
These cemetery records are taken from the following sources:
Boundary Co. Free Museum, repository for Boundary County Historical Association, and their publication, Boundary County History Book
Death Records - Boundary Co. ID 1907-1988 compiled by Twila J. Stone
Boundary Co. ID Cemeteries compiled by Alfred E. and Betty J. Shane
Sextons of the various cemeteries, including family cemeteries
Obituaries from the local newspapers, including those posted on the Internet. Online obituaries are from 2004-2006, and include links to find them.
And just walking the cemeteries, looking at headstones and fighting mosquitoes!
If you find underlined names, you can click on them to find an online obituary.

| The researchers have attempted to offer enough clues to find more resources, such as death certificates or cemetery information. Almost all of the entries came from newpaper obituaries, and sometimes not a great deal of information was available. |
