of Boundary County, Idaho

Some of these records are taken from the Bonners Ferry Herald, which operated off and on from 1892 on, and the Kootenai Times, which came and went through the years. Usually, only one paper was in existance at a time. Not a lot of information was given in these articles, but occassionaly, the original story may tell a little more. These old newspapers are all available on microfilm from the Idaho State Archives, in Boise. Hopefully, those looking for their families and finding information here will have enough clues to find more.

Birth Records Taken from microfilm, this database of Physician Records covers part of 1907 and most of 1908. Current day Boundary County was part of Kootenai County at the time. We are not sure that all births were listed in this record, but the amount of information on each birth includes mother's maiden name, parents ages and their birthplaces .
Birth Records Taken from microfilm, this database of Physician Records starts the middle of 1911 and continues through 1913. At that time, current day Boundary County was part of Bonner County. Information given is similar to that in the above database.

Naturalizations These brief statements were taken from Boundary County Court Records. The court was usually held quarterly, and more than one naturalization case was heard. These records are available on microfilm at the Idaho State Archives in Boise.
Records Available A list of all the Boundary County records available on microfilm from the Idaho State Historical Society. (Except for Federal Census.) These films can be accessed at the Archives in Boise, ID.
Marriages Marriage notices taken from the newspapers of marriages taking place outside of ID. These Boundary Co residents or former residents may not be included in the Western States Marriage Index.
