Alvin J. Granger

    Graveside services for Alvin Jack Granger. 61, formerly of Caldwell, who died Thursday, Sept. 8, in Stillwater, Okla., will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Middleton Cemetery.
    He was born Sept. 24, 1921, in Stafford, Neb.  He was a WWII veteran and member of the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers.  He moved to Caldwell in 1951, where he managed the Baker Shoe Store until 1954.  He moved to New Jersey in 1961, then to Oklahoma in 1974.  He was a member of the Stillwell Seventh- day Adventist Church, and was active in the Caldwell Boy Scouts.
    He is survived by his wife. Alyce Keheley Granger of Stillwell; four sons, Steve Granger of Olympia, Wash., John Keheley of El Paso, Texas, Jim Keheley of Tulsa, Okla., and Charley Granger of Stillwell; three daughters, Sharon Granger Vanek of Nampa, Sandra Granger Smith of Lacey, Wash., and Teresa Keheley Markowski of Franklin, Ark.; three brothers, Jim Granger of Spokane, Wash., Gene Granger of Tacoma, Wash., and Bill Leach of Tulsa, Okla; two sisters, Dorothy Welch and Peggy Lilianthal of Port Orchard, Washington; numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Alvin Granger, who died August 20, 1982.
