Graveside services for
Arland L. Hodgson, 80, of Nampa, who died Saturday, May 11, in
a Nampa nursing home, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
The Rev. Joseph Housh of the First United Methodist
Church, Nampa, will officiate, under the direction of Dakan
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mr. Hodgson, an insurance representative, was born Sept.
30, 1904, in Pleasantville, Iowa, to Charles and Marie Amos
Hodgson. He was reared and educated in Pleasantville where he
married Ruby Bacon. They moved to Wichita, Kan., in 1931
where he worked as a policeman.
They moved to Caldwell in 1945 where he was an insurance
representative for Mutual Life of New York. Mrs. Hodgson died
in 1961.
He had resided for the last 20 years in Napa, Calif. He
moved to Nampa in April of this year.
He was a member of the First Christian Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Rocky)
Merrick of Nampa and Beverly (Mrs. Tom) Morris of Homedale;
eight sisters; a brother; six grandchildren; and 10
great-grandchildren.
