Anna Hitt

    Anna M. Hitt, 73, of Nampa, died Wednesday, March 27, 1996, at her home of natural causes.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, with Pastor Royce Wright officiating.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Hitt was born October, 10, 1922, at Nampa, Idaho, a daughter of Ludwig and Katherine Weist Schell.
    She married Jake Hitt on October 13, 1944, at Blyville, Arkansas.  During the war Anna worked at the Kiser Shipyard in Portland.  After the war the couple returned to Nampa, where she worked at several packing houses, getting the farm produce ready for shipping.  She also worked at several of the potato processing plants, including J.R. Simplots., Ore-Ida and Idaho Potato Processing Plant.  She quit working in 1960 so she could stay home.
    She enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, and using a metal detector to comb parks etc., for lost coins and other treasures.
    Survivors include her husband, Jake of Nampa; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Betty Hitt of Nampa; four brothers, Paul of Beaverton, Oregon, John of Dayton, Washington, Arnold of Port Angeles, Washington, and Louie of Boise; three grandchildren, Jenny, Doug and Justin; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by four brothers.
    Friends may call Monday, April 1, from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
