Artenia M. Huffer, 67, of
Caldwell, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 1995, in a Caldwell hospital
of natural causes. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell with rites by
Hermosa Chapter #32, Order of the Eastern Star, Caldwell.
Entombment will follow in the Building of Reverence at
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Artie was born July 27, 1928, in Roswell, to George and
Estella Blakley. She attended the Roswell Grade School and
graduated from Parma High School in 1946, the first graduation
class after Roswell and Parma schools consolidated. After
graduation, she worked for Mountain Bell and later for Sears.
She married Harry L. Huffer April 15, 1951, in Winnemucca,
Nev. She was employed by Caxton Printers in Caldwell for 35
years, retiring in 1986.
Artie was a member of Hermosa Chapter #32, Order of the
Eastern Star in Caldwell and Iris Temple, Daughters of the
Nile, Boise.
Surviving are her husband, Harry L. "Jack" Huffer of
Caldwell; a sister, Ellen E. Wood of Boise; three brothers,
C.W. "Chick" Blakley and his wife, Frances, of Boise, Wilner
Blakley of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Everett Blakley and his
wife, Norma, of Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Mac; and
two brothers, George and David.
Her family suggests that memorials be made to the Idaho
Lung Association or to a favorite charity.
Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from
4 to 8 p.m. Monday. |
