Alma Forsythe

    Graveside services for Alma Ruth Forsythe, 99, of Caldwell, who died Sunday, May 30, 1993, at a Caldwell nursing home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 1993, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.  Pastor William Hull of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Caldwell, will officiate under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
    Mrs. Forsythe was born April 27, 1894, at Lincoln, Nebraska, a daughter of Herbert and Annie Cook Meeker.  She moved with her family as a child to Oregon where she was reared and educated and attended Laurelwood Academy.  She received nurses training in Tennessee where she married Harland Thornton Forsythe on Dec. 27, 1914, in Goodlettsville.  The couple lived in Oregon and Tennessee until moving to Caldwell in 1943 where she has since resided.  Mr. Sorsythe died in 1985.  She was a member of the Caldwell Seventh-day Adventist Church.
    Surviving are two sons, Clifford of Cape Coral, FL., and Ben of Madras, OR.; two daughters, Phyllis Smith of Cascade and Dorothy Conry of Red Bluff, CA.; 1 brother; 3 sisters, 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.
    Memorials may be given to the Seventh-day Adventist Church building fund.
    Friends may call Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
