Benjamin Hale

    Services for Benjamin A. Hale, 82, of Middleton, Route 1, who died Friday, Feb. 18, at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Middleton Second Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Craig R. Baird.  Interment will follow at the Middleton Cemetery under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    He was born Dec. 11, 1900 at Grover, Lincoln County, Wyoming where he lived until age 14 when his family moved to Emmett.  He married Ollie Slate on Sept. 25, 1924 and she died in 1939.
    He married Dora Fisher on Aug. 6, 1940 in Emmett and they lived there until moving to Middleton in 1960 where they have since resided.
    He had been a farmer and worked in construction with his brothers until his retirement in 1969.  He was a member of the Middleton Second Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
    He is survived by his wife, Middleton; two sons, Arthur of New Plymouth and Dallas of Emmett; two daughters, Mrs. Arden (Pauline) Atkinson of Parma and Mrs. Bill (Mildred) Lemon of Wheaton, Mo.; two sisters, Hattie Brogen of Meridian and Nettie Moore of Payette; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, four brothers and three sisters.
    Friends may call at the Flahiff Chapel, Caldwell, Monday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m.
