Fred Hogan

    Services for Bryan Frederick "Fred” Hogan, 87, 1708 5th St. N., Nampa, who died Friday, March 16 at home following an extended illness, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Schmidt of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    He was born Oct. 6, 1896 in Beloit, Kansas to William A. and Isabelle C. Hogan.  He was reared and educated in Beloit.  
    He married Bessie M. Cavanah Feb. 11, 1917 in Beloit, and they lived in various parts of Kansas until they moved to Nampa in 1936.  He worked as a farmer in the Lone Star area until 1957.  He then worked for the Nampa Meridian Irrigation District as a ditch rider and then at the Nampa Livestock Auction until retirement.  His wife preceded him in death April 12, 1973.
    He is survived by two sons, Harold E. Hogan of Nampa and Edward Hogan of Boise; two daughters, Thelma E. Hogan and Mrs. Gwendolyn Fisher, both of Nampa; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one grandson, one great-grandson, seven brothers and seven sisters.
    The family suggest memorials to the American Heart Association of Idaho, 3295 Elder St., Suite 140, Boise 83705 or flowers may be sent.
