Boyd Grim

    Graveside funeral services for Boyd H. Grim, 79, of 4060 W. Lake Hazel, Meridian, who died Thursday, June 30, at a Boise hospital, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell,
    He was born to Ira and Mary Grim on March 27, 1904, In Knox County, Nebraska, and was reared and educated in that area,  He served In the U.S. Navy during World War II.  Following his honorable discharge, he came to the Caldwell area where he worked for the J.R. Simplot Co, for a time before entering the Maritime Sea Transportation Service (Merchant Marine.)  Upon his retirement in 1965, he returned to the Boise Valley near Meridian where he lived on an acreage and farmed.
    He is survived by three brothers, Harold E. Grim of Wilder, Ira Grim of Roswell, and Origen L. Grim of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Hazel O'Krakel and Dorothy E. Lamey, both of Caldwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
    Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, today from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    Memorials may be made to the Mercy Medical Center Hospice Program, 1512-12th Ave. Rd., Nampa, Ida. 83651, or to Mountain States Tumor Institute, 151 E. Bannock, Boise, Ida. 83702.
