Cora Johns

    Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Cora E. Johns, 79, of Nampa, who died Saturday, Sept. 29, 1990, at the Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  The Rev. Jack Cooke, pastor of the Caldwell Bible Baptist Church, will officiate.  Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
    Cora was born on July 29, 1911, at Willow Springs, Mo., where she was reared and educated.  She married John E. Johns in May of 1930, at Mountain Home, Ark.  In 1950, they moved to Idaho, and settled in Nampa, where they have since resided.  Cora was a member of the Baptist Church.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping.
    She is survived by her husband, John, of Nampa; two sons, Harvey E. Johns of Nampa, and Clarence E. Johns and his wife, Virginia, of La Grande, Ore.; two daughters, and their husbands, Florence and Alvin Day of Nampa, and Della and Joe Lea of Joplin, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Clara Linsey of Springfield, Mo; 23 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, and two brothers.
