Funeral services for Charlene Louise King, 48, of
Caldwell, who died Friday March 11, 1988, at the
Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, March 16, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in
by the Rev. Don Hardenbrook of the First Christian Church in Caldwell. Interment
will follow at Hillcrest
Louise was born on Aug. 6, 1939, in Caldwell, to Charles and
Ola Larson Schnase. She
was reared and educated in Caldwell
and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1957.
She married Bob King on Jan. 22, 1960, at Nampa. She worked for
several months at Meridian Wood Products before being
employed at Nampa Floral. She
worked there for five years. Later she worked at Kit
Manufacturing Co. in
as a quality control inspector for nine yeas.
She entered the
nursing program at Caldwell Memorial Hospital
in 1978. She
graduated from the program and worked at Caldwell Memorial
until she retired as an R.N. in February 1988 due to ill
She enjoyed crafts and all kinds of needle work.
She loved to sew and
made most of her and her family's clothing.
She liked reading
and going out and looking for a bargain on material to sew
She was a member of the First Christian Church and
the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Caldwell.
She is survived by her husband, Bob of Caldwell; a
son and daughter-in-law, Lavern and Sue King of Nampa; a
daughter, Kelly King of Caldwell; a daughter and son-in-law,
Danette and Scott Christie of Cottage Grove, Ore.; two
sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Ed Traywick of
Caldwell and Charlotte and Israel Sumano of Mexico City,
Mexico; four grandchildren, Marcene, Joly, Tory and Regina
Christie, all of Cottage Grove; and one niece and three
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother
Friends may call Tuesday from 3 until 8 p.m. and
Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
