Dean Hazen

    Dean Dale Hazen, 82, of Marsing, died Thursday, March 7, 1996, in a Homedale nursing home.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 11, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, officiated by Rev. Jack Cooke of the Centennial Baptist Church, Caldwell.  Interment will follow at hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mr. Hazen was born on December 8, 1913, at Creighton, Nebraska, a son of Floyd Orin Hazen and Lillie Young Hazen.  He grew up in Nebraska and moved to Marsing in 1938 where he owned and operated the Hi-Way service station and bulk plant until he sold it in 1958.  After selling his business he ranched in the Poison Creek area until his retirement.
    Dean enjoyed traveling and was an avid fisherman.
    He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Bob Mount of Marsing; three brothers, Bob Hazen of Marsing, Jim Hazen of Boise and Les Hazen of Twin Falls; two sisters, Helen Hiatt of Marsing and Edith Clark of Twin Falls; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter; one son, LeRoy Hazen; three brothers, Kenny, Errol and Jarvis "Bud" Hazen; and, two sisters, Elsie and one infant.
    Friends may call at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 10.
