Dorothy Jensen

    Dorothy E. Jensen, 91, of Nampa, died Saturday, February 1, 1992, at the Nampa hospital.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 1992, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Tom Larson, pastor of the Nampa First United Methodist Church will officiate.  Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.  Services are Linder the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Dorothy E. Jensen was born on January 23, 1901, at Ransom County, North Dakota, to William E. and Edith Porter Loomer.  She was reared and educated in Ransom County.  After her schooling she attended the Valley City Normal School in Valley City, North Dakota.  She received her teaching certificate and taught school in North Dakota for several years.  She married Sonke S. Jensen on June 5, 1921, in Ransom County.  In 1936 they moved to Nampa where they made their home.  Mr. Jensen died on March 8, 1968, and she has resided in Nampa since.  She was a member of the Nampa First United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved to watch baseball on television.
    Dorothy is survived by 2 sons, Charles Jensen and Don Jensen, both of Nampa; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
    Besides her husband she was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Faye Bryant and Evelyn Yarger, and 1 great-grandson.
