funeral services for Delilah Mae Higel, 56, of Nampa, who died
Friday July 26, at a Nampa nursing home, will be conducted
2:30 p.m. Monday at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, with the
Rev. Richard Shaw, pastor of the Caldwell First Baptist
church, officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the
cemetery. Services and interment are under the direction
of the Alsip Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
She was born August 18, 1928, at Alva, Okla., to James and
Myrle Hart McCurley. She was reared in Oklahoma and came
to Nampa at a young age where she completed her schooling,
graduating from Nampa High School. She married Donald
Higel on Sept. 26, 1948, in Nampa. They made their home
in Kuna until 1978, when they moved to Nampa where they had
since resided. She was a member of the Nampa Berean
She is survived by her husband o Nampa; two daughters, Donna
D. Higel and Dayle D. Higel, both of Nampa; two sons, Duane D.
Higel and his wife, Theresa, of Germany, and DeWight D. Higel
and his wife, Melody , of Nampa; three sisters, Mary Simpson,
Sylvia Ward and Fontella Skaggs, all of Nampa. one brother,
Dan McCurley of Nampa; her mother, Myrle McCurley of Nampa;
five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today from 9
a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. till noon.
