Dwight W. Karr

CALDWELL - Services Dwight William Karr, 71, Nampa Route 3, who died Friday at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev. James Dougherty of the First Church of God.
    Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    He was born on July 17, 1902, in Phelps County, Neb., where he grew up and attended school.  He married Elsie C. Ice on Oct. 21, 1921, in Holdredge, Neb., and they farmed there until 1939 when they came to Canyon County.  He farmed here for a number of years and later worked for the State of Idaho as a livestock health inspector.  He retired in 1971 due to ill health.
    He was a member of Modern Woodmen of America.
    Surviving are his wife, Elsie, Nampa; a son, Weldon W. Karr, Nampa; a daughter, Phyllys Pied, Boise; a granddaughter, Carolyn Bagley, Boise; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. George Striegel, Milton-Freewater, Ore., and Mrs. William Holen, Lexington, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews.  Two brothers preceded him in death.
