services for Ernest A. Honey, 64, Caldwell, who died Monday,
June 11, at a Caldwell hospital will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, June 13, at the Middleton Cemetery by pastors
Robert Ogden of the Notus Church of the Nazarene and Clyde
Dilley of Notus, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel,
He was born April 22, 1920, to Aden and Anna M. Honey, at
Emmett Idaho. He had resided in the Treasure Valley his
entire life. He worked for Rice Construction in Boise.
He married Nadine Dana on July 22, 1961, at Elko, Nev.
They came to Caldwell from Boise in 1968, where he worked for
the Farmers Co-op Irrigation company for 17 years as
He was a member of the Caldwell Eagles 3691.
Survivors include his wife of Caldwell; three daughters,
Margaret Porter of Baker, Ore., Barbara Honey of Seattle,
Wash., Vickie Hersberger of Denton, Mont.; two stepdaughters,
Linda Bates of Nampa, Leanne Williams of Caldwell; two sons,
Vernon Honey of Middleton, and Bruce Honey of Meridian; three
stepsons, Larry Dana of Boise, Lester Dana, and Loren Dana
both of Caldwell; 43 grandchildren, and seven
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three
brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and on
Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
