Ernest Franks

    Graveside services for Ernest D. "Pete" Franks, 61, of Nyssa, Ore., who died Thursday, March 1, of natural causes in his home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wilder Cemetery.
    The Rev. John Baumgartner of the St. Bridget's Catholic Church of Nyssa, will officiate under the direction of Lienkaemper Chapel of Nyssa.
    He was born June 5, 1922, in Caldwell to Ernest and Evalina Franks where he was raised and education.  he served a s a flight instructor in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII.
    He married Consuelo "Connie" Bicandi July 25, 1947 in Caldwell.  They moved to the Nyssa-Adrian area where they farmed.
    He is survived by his wife, three sons, Dick of Ontario, Pud of Payette and Stan of Mountain Home; two brothers, Stanley of Pendleton, Ore., and Hiram of Boise; and four grandchildren.
    Memorials may be made to the Adrian High School Sports Boosters Club.
