Services for Esther E.
Horne, 81, of Nampa, who died Monday, Sept. 9, in her home,
will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the Midway Bible
Missionary Church of Ustick Road in Caldwell.
The Rev. Tom McCall, pastor of the Nampa Bible Missionary
Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Services and interment are under
the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Mrs. Horne was born on Feb. 10, 1904, in Portland, Ore.,
where she was reared and educated. She married Martin Horne
on Nov. 20, 1929, in Portland where they made their home until
moving to Nampa in 1952. She was a member of the Nampa Bible
Missionary Church.
She is survived by her husband of Nampa; four daughters
and their husbands, Viola and Wes Tucker of Otis. Ore.,
Eleanor and Stan Hansen of Kelso, Wash., Virginia and Gerald
Zellmer of Davenport, Wash., and Joan and Art Ellis of Denver.
Colo.; one son and daughter- in-law, Leroy and Suzanne Horne
of Nampa; one sister, Mary Robinson of Seal Beach, Calif.;
three brothers Ben Becker of Beaver, Ore., Joe Becker of
Portland, Ore., and James Becker of Beaverton, Ore.; 14
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Melvin Roy Horne,
three brothers and two sisters.
