for Edward F. Hicks, 77, of Caldwell, who died Thursday, June
7, 1990, at a Boise hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m.
Monday, June 11, 1990, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,

Mr. Hicks was born Dec. 2, 1912, in Troy, Idaho, a son of
Earl Roy and Cora Matilda Johnson Hicks. He was reared and
educated in the Bruneau area and graduated from Bruneau High
School. He worked as a rancher and a miner before enlisting

World War II, and flew many glider missions. Following his
military service he returned to ranching and later worked for
the J.R. Simplot Company prior to his retirement. He married
Jane Mills in December of 1970 in Nampa. Edward was an avid
fisherman and deer hunter and a member of the National Rifle
Association. His family and friends will greatly miss him and
his wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of Caldwell, his children,
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two sisters and nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
The family suggests memorials to the VFW or flowers may be
