Esther L. Fries

    Rosary for Esther L. Fries, 64, of Nampa, who died Tuesday, April 29, at her home, will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa.  The Rev. Henry Carmona will be the celebrant and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Fries was born Dec. 17, 1921, at Barard, Colo., where she worked as an aide at St. Anthony Hospital.
    She married George W. Fries on Nov. 25, 1944, at Denver.  They lived in Bayard before moving to Nampa in 1962.
    She had worked at Mercy Hospital for 12 1/2 years and at the Idaho State School and Hospital for nine years before retiring.
    She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, St. Ann's Circle, a lecturer for Our Lady of Guadelupe Catholic Church; a member of Southside Grange N. 99, a charter volunteer for the Hospice program and the first volunteer at the Nazareth Retreat House in Boise.
