Esther Gunderson

    Memorial services for Esther Louise Gunderson, 70, of Boise, who died Wednesday, Oct. 15, at home of cancer, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 7670 Emerald St., Boise.
    Private family graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Nampa.  Frank Scharfen of the Jehovah's Witnesses will officiate, under direction of the Relyea Funeral Chapel, Boise.
    Mrs. Gunderson, a homemaker, was born Oct. 21, 1915, at Meridian.  She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1934.  She married Earl H. Gunderson June 16, 1934.  They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1984.  They lived in the Nampa-Boise area most of their married life.  Mr. Gunderson died Feb. 5, 1985.
    She is survived by a son, John Gunderson of Boise; two daughters, Yolanda Poindexter and Marjie Pierson, both of Boise; a brother, David Spencer of Mountain Home; three sisters, Mary Rupert of Nampa, Anna Scharfen of Boise, and Myrtle Doty of Wendell; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan, in October 1984.
    Friends may call today until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Boise mortuary.
