Elmer Kesner

    Elmer Lynn Kesner, 88, of Caldwell, died Wednesday, August 11, 1993 at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 16, 1993 at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Pastor Jerry Davis of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church will officiate.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Elmer Lynn Kesner was born August 15, 1904 at Seymour, Missouri, the eldest son of Arthur and Gertrude Kesner.  He was married to Mildred Haldiman and two children were born to their marriage, Joan and John.  Lynn worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 43 years, retiring as District Supervisor in Chanute, Kansas.  He has lived in Caldwell since 1975 and was a member of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church.  He was a resident of the Odd Fellows Home on the Hill at the time of his death.
    Surviving are his daughter, Joan DeFoe of Horseshoe Bend; his son, John Kesner of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren, two brothers, Fred Kesner of Caldwell and Joe Broadus of Sacramento, Ca.; three sisters, Eudora Terry of Caldwell, Nell Marie Miller of Nampa and Kathryn Halliburton of Kansas City, Kansas.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister and three brothers.
    Memorials may be made to the Caldwell Free Methodist Church.
    Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. today.
