Elsie Helderman

Elsie S. Helderman, 86, of Caldwell, died Wednesday, September 7, 1994, at the Nampa hospital of natural causes.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 1994, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.  Interment will follow at the Parma Cemetery, Parma.
Mrs. Helderrran was born November 10, 1907, at Ogden, Utah, to Peter and Charlotte Kilstrom Ernstrom.  She graduated from Ogden High School in 1925.  She worked as a sales clerk in Ogden and the Idaho Department Store for several years.  She married Jay Helderman, October 27, 1949, at Ogden, Utah.  Together they lived in the Wilder and Parma area for many years.  She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Even though Mr. and Mrs. Helderman had no children of their own, they were devoted parents to many foster children over the years.  Elsie was always helping others in need.  She was a kind and loving lady, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include two foster children, Maria and Sherrie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay J. Helderman, February 2, 1994, as well as her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
Her family suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
