Services for Earl Lee Gibson, 62, of Caldwell, who died
Thursday, July 9, at his home of natural causes, were held at
11 a.m. Saturday at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Staff members of the Followers of Christ Church of
Caldwell officiated. Burial followed in Knowlton Heights
Cemetery, Caldwell.
Mr. Gibson was born Oct. 15, 1924, at Parma, to Lee and
Verna Gibson. He was reared and attended school at Knowlton
Heights near Marsing.
He married Gertrude Eells Feb. 19, 1943, at Caldwell. He
drove truck for Dairymen's Creamery at Caldwell for several
years and had also worked at J.R. Simplot Co., Caldwell, for
16 years, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of the Followers of Christ Church,
Caldwell. He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; three
daughters, Connie Shippy of New Plymouth, Carmen Jerome of
Marsing and Karen Jerome of Nampa; two sons, Dwain Gibson of
Marsing and Darrel Gibson of Caldwell; three sisters, Lela
Wallace of Gladstone, Ore., Ferne Hutchinson of Hillsboro,
Ore., and Doris Baker of Lewiston; a brother, Norman Gibson of
Oregon City, Ore.; 29 grandchildren: seven
great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. |
