Edwin Johnson

    Services for Edwin Rudolph Johnson, 69, of 220 Anderson St., Caldwell, who died Saturday, Jan. 22, at home will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, with the Dr. Charles Crane of the First Christian Church of Caldwell officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    He was born July 16, 1913 in Beechwood, Mich., where he was raised and educated.  He was a logger in Michigan for 15 years before moving to Caldwell.  He met Julia Geraldine Elery in Twin Falls in 1942 and they were married in Sheboggan Falls, Wis. on Dee, 18, 1943.  They lived there and in Huntington, Ore. before settling in Caldwell in 1946.
    He spent 35 years working in construction and working for Kit Manufacturing and Ace Supply before retiring in 1978.
    He is survived by his wife, Judy Johnson, Caldwell; one son, Jim Johnson, Boise; one daughter, Marilyn Ballantyne, Middleton; four brothers, Charles, Crystal Fall, Mich., Clifford, and Emil, both of Sheboggan Falls, Mich., Clarence, Milwaukee, Wis.; three sisters, Sally Anderson, Iron River, Mich., Emilia Whitney, Napa, Calif,: and Marjorie Birdwell, Talladega, Ala.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society,
