Emma Johnson

    Graveside services for Emma Johnson, 88, of Caldwell, who died Friday, May 9, at the Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Scott LaMert of the Caldwell Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Johnson was born May 9, 1898, in Norba, Russia, to Jacob and Kathryn Krieger.  She came to the United States with her parents in 1905, settling in Kansas.
    She married Jesse Johnson Dec. 4, 1920, in Billings, Mont.  They ranched in south-central Montana until retiring in 1956.  They moved to California for a short time, later returning to Montana before coming to Caldwell in 1965, where she had since resided.  Mr. Johnson died Nov. 19, 1974.
    She was a member of the Caldwell Seventh-day Adventist Church.
    She is survived by two sons, Bob and Lee Johnson, both of Caldwell; four sisters, Marie Jacobsen of Spokane, Wash., Elizabeth Link and Esther Ochs, both of Colfax, Wash., and Linda Baldwin of Oaksdale, Wash.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Sunday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel.
