Graveside services for Emma Johnson, 88, of
Caldwell, who died Friday, May 9, at the Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens by the Rev. Scott LaMert of the
Caldwell Seventh-day Adventist
Services are under the
direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Johnson was born May 9, 1898, in
Norba, Russia, to Jacob and Kathryn
Krieger. She came to
the United States with her parents in 1905, settling
She married Jesse Johnson Dec. 4, 1920, in
Billings, Mont. They
ranched in south-central Montana until retiring in
1956. They moved to
for a short time, later returning to

in 1965, where she had since resided.
Mr. Johnson died Nov.
was a member of the Caldwell Seventh-day
survived by two sons, Bob and Lee Johnson, both of
Caldwell; four sisters, Marie Jacobsen of
Elizabeth Link and Esther Ochs, both of
Colfax, Wash., and Linda Baldwin of Oaksdale, Wash.;
eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
