Eugene Francone

    Eugene Francone, 89, of Nampa, died Saturday, April 27, 1996, in a Nampa hospital.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  the Rev. Father Paul Matthews, S.M., of St. Paul's Catholic Church will officiate.  Entombment will follow in Building of Reverence, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Eugene was born Dec. 27, 1906, at Hurley, Wis., a son of Charlie and Anetta Ozello Francone.  He moved with his family to DeLamar, Idaho, in 1909, where he was raised and educated.  He moved to Nampa in 1922.  Later, Eugene joined the U.S. Navy.
    He married Mattie Kincheloe in 1933 at Boise.  They made their home in Nampa, where he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad.  They later owned and operated a bar until their retirement.
    Survivors include his wife, Mattie of Nampa; two daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Carroll) Smith, and Shirley (Mrs. Tom) Cassidy; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers.
    Friends may call this evening from 5 to 9 p.m. at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
