Services for Flossie A.
Harter, 84, of Caldwell, and formerly of Wilder, who died
Wednesday, Dec. 3, at a Caldwell nursing home will be held at
10 a.m. Saturday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel Caldwell.
The Rev. Gary McConnell of the Crossroads Assembly of God
Church, Wilder, and the Rev. Frank Prince of the Free Holiness
Church, Wilder, will officiate. Burial will follow at the
Mrs. Harter was born April 30, 1902, to Barry and Dora
Hankins Price in Cassville, Mo., where she was reared and
educated. Her mother died when she was 12 years old and she
assumed the role of mother to her younger brothers and
She married Lewis Harter July 20, 1936, in Cassville.
They operated Harter's Cabins in Cassville for several
Mr. Harter died in 1965 in Missouri and she moved to
Wilder, where she lived until moving to the Caldwell Care
Center four years ago.
Her hobbies included quilting and crocheting.
She was a member of the Crossroads Assembly of God Church
and was active in the Women's Missionary Council. S
he is survived by a brother, John Price of Wilder; a
sister, Mamie Mattingly of Wilder; five nieces; two nephews;
and several grandnieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two infant
Friends may call Friday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the
Caldwell Flahiff chapel.
