Fay Hein

    Memorial services for Fay Arthur Hein, 83, Greenleaf, who died Friday, Aug. 24 at home of natural causes, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27 at the Greenleaf Friends Church with Pastor Paul F. Goins officiating.  Private interment is at the Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    He was born April 17, 1901 to Iddo and Harriot Yoder Hein at Woodburn, Ore., where he was reared and educated.  
    He married Mary M. Brown Nov. 3, 1924 at Redmond, Ore.  During the early part of their married life, they farmed in Oregon and Alberta, Canada.  
    For many years he was a builder at Prineville and Gold Beach, Ore.  He retired in 1963.  After his retirement they farmed at Sweet Home and spent ten winters in Yuma, Ariz.
    They moved to the Caldwell area in 1980, where they have since resided at Greenleaf.  He was a member of the Oregon Grange and the Moose Lodge.
    He is survived by his wife in Greenleaf; three sons, James and David Hein of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Clarence Hein of Wamic, Ore.; three daughters, Winona Nelson of Portland, Ore. and Vernita Lowry and Karen Mac Kenzie, both of Jordan Valley, Ore.; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
    The family suggests memorials may be made to the Greenleaf Friends Academy, PO Box 428, Greenleaf, 83626 or to Mercy Medical Center Hospice Program, 1512 12th Ave. Rd., Nampa, 83651.
