Flavia James

    Flavia M. James, 83, of Nampa, died Sunday, January 14, 1996, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  The Rev. Tom Larson of the Nampa First United Methodist Church will officiate.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Flavia was born Nov. 15, 1912, at Milnor, No. Dakota, a daughter of James and Rosetta Mitchell Richardson.  She was raised and educated in Grass Creek, Wyo.  She married Ivan M. James on November 2, 1929, at Rock Springs, Wyo., where they made their home at an oil field South of Rock Springs until moving to Nampa in 1967 when Ivan retired.
    Flavia enjoyed her dog the most in her last years.
    Survivors include two sons and their wives, Donald and Ardella James of Nampa, Ivan Jr. and Emma James, of Big Piney, Wyo.; one daughter and her husband, Dorothy and Wayne Scott, of Nampa; twin brothers, Robert Richardson and his wife Phyllis, of Thermopolis, Wyo., Hubert Richardson, of Meridian; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 5, 1983; her parents; and an infant daughter, Loretta, in 1940.
    Memorials may be made in her name to the United Methodist Church Building Fund, Nampa, Idaho 83686.
    Friends may call today, until 9 p.m. at Persons Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
