Geneva Gamble

    Graveside services for Geneva C. Gamble, 80, of 412 20th Ave. S., Nampa, who died Jan. 6 at the home of her son in Nampa, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Elder Douglas Benzon of the Nampa Eleventh Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, officiating. Friends may meet at the cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel.

    She was born April 2, 1902, at Shelley, Idaho to P.H. and Melinda Catron. She was reared and educated in Shelley. She married James A. Gamble Nov. 20, 1922 at Dillon, Mont. Following their marriage they made their home in Idaho Falls. She worked for Mountain Bell for 17 years.

    In 1947 they moved to Nyssa, Oregon. They later lived in Payette and then for several years they lived in Martinez and Madera, Calif. In 1964 they moved to Nampa to make their home. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church.

    She is survived by her husband, James A. Gamble, Nampa; one son, James J. Gamble, Nampa; one sister, Linnie Dykstra, Buena Park, Calif.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

    Memorials may be made to Home Health Care in care of Mercy Medical Center, 1512 12th Ave. Rd., Nampa or flowers may be sent.

    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
