Grace Hammond

    Memorial Services for Grace Leona Hammond, 77 of 1715 W. Flamingo, Nampa, who died Tuesday Jan. 24 at her home will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Nampa First Baptist Church, with Rev. Leo W. Reed, pastor of the church officiating.  Private interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Services and interment are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
    She was born Nov. 12, 1906 at Meridian, Idaho to William H. and Mandy J. Tidwell.  She was reared, educated and spent her life in Idaho.  She married Carl L. Davis on Oct. 27, 1923 in Caldwell and they made their home in Nampa.  He died on June 11, 1974.  She then married R. Kent Hammond on Aug. 18, 1979 in
Nampa.  Mr. Hammond passed away on May 9, 1981 and she had resided in Nampa since.  She was a member of the Nampa First Baptist Church.
    She is survived by one daughter, Erma J. Ward, Spokane, Wash.; three grandchildren (sic), Donald, Steven and Sharon, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
    The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Nampa First Baptist Church, American Heart Association. a favorite charity or flowers may be sent.
