Grace Howard

    Funeral services for Grace Roselle Roberts Howard, 80, 3260 Harrison St., Boise, who died Wednesday at her home of natural causes will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell by Lou Williams.  Interment will be at the Roswell Cemetery, Roswell.
    She was born April 11, 1902 in Pretty Prairie, Kan., to Alonzo C. and Hulda Rose Roberts.  She married Virgil Knights in 1920, but they were later divorced.  She married F.L. "Doc" Howard on June 18, 1929 in Wallace.  He died July 10, 1968.
    She worked for Baird Dry Cleaners for several years and she and her husband operated Doc Howard Oil Co. for 25 years in Boise.  She moved to Las Vegas, Nev. in 1956 where she worked for the Tropicana Hotel.  She returned to Boise in 1979.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
    She is survived by four sons, Billie L. Knight of Boise, F.L. "Jay" Howard Fr. of Hepner, Ore., Vern Howard of Paradise, Calif., and H. Robert Howard of Pleasant Grove, Utah; four brothers, Walter L. Roberts of Inglewood, Calif., William J. Roberts of Los Angeles, Calif., Sherman A. Roberts of Paradise, Calif., and Paul L. Roberts of Twin Falls; three sisters, Mrs. John (Edna) Danner of Twin Falls, Mrs. Sam (Jessie) Schyler of Wendall, and Mrs. Kathryn Williams of Portland, Ore.; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
    Friends may call at the chapel from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Elks Rehabilitation Center, Boise, in care of Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1386, Caldwell, Idaho 83605.
