Gerhard Harms |
Funeral services for Gerhard W. Harms, 97, of Caldwell,
who died Sunday, February 9, 1992, at a Caldwell nursing home,
will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 14, 1992, at the
Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Pastor David Quail of the
Grace Lutheran Church Caldwell will officiate. Interment will
follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, Idaho.
Mr. Harms was born May 14, 1894, at Oak, Nebraska, a son
of John and Mollie Miller Harms. He moved to Bums, Wyoming,
at the age of 12 and to Buhl, Idaho, in 1903. Gerhard married
Helen Meyer on July 7, 1937, at Davenport, Nebraska. The
couple moved to Buhl where they farmed until 1941. The couple
moved to Caldwell and he continued to farm until his
retirement in 1969.
He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church Caldwell.
Survivors include his wife, Helen of Caldwell; a daughter,
Rose Ward of McCall; five grandchildren, Mrs. Kevin
(Stephanie) Evans of Ft. Mamoth, New Jersey, Mrs. David
(Jennifer) BoBo of Baker, Oregon; Brenda, Chrystal and Dustin
Ward both of McCall; two brothers, Albert Harms of Wendell,
Idaho, and John Harms in California; two sisters, Marie Fuller
of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Sofie Corrigan of Kansas City,
Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two
sisters. |
