Gertrude Harris

    Rosary for Gertrude Ann Harris, 74, of Caldwell, who died Sunday, June 21, in the Caldwell hospital of natural causes, was recited and Mass of Christian Burial was held today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell.
    Father John Koelsch was celebrant.  Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.  Arrangements were under direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Harris, retired stenographer, was born Nov. 15, 1912, at Eureka, Utah, to James and Mary Stack.  She was reared and educated in Eureka and Ogden.  She came to Boise in 1931 where she worked for a magazine distributor as a secretary.
    She married Charles V. Harris Sept. 22, 1936, at Gooding.  They resided in Owyhee County and Malheur County, Ore., until 1947 when they retired and moved to Caldwell.  They then traveled for two years.
    She had lived in the Caldwell area since 1949.  Her husband died Nov. 1, 1982.
    She was a member of Daughters of the Nile and St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell.
    She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Hopkin of Boise and Clare Larson of Eureka, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
