Howard Hummell, Jr.

    NAMPA - Funeral services for Howard "Slim" Hummell Jr. 43, Nampa Route 3, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident 30 miles East of Burns, Ore. Wednesday, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, with Robert DeCoursey, First Counselor of the Nampa First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, officiating.  Interment will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    Mr. Hummell was born Aug. 18, 1929 at Blackwell, Okla. and was reared in Oklahoma.  He had lived in Idaho for a number of years.  He married Edna Mattox at Vancouver, Wash June 19, 1972.  He had worked for the Skyline Farms near Nampa for a number of years until he was disabled. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He was a member of the LDS Church.  He was enroute to Portland, Oregon at the time of his death.
    Mr. HummelI is survived by his wife, Edna Hummell, Nampa; two sons, Rex and Ronnie Hummell, both of Portland; a daughter, Ronnie Humnell of Portland; his father, Howard Hummell of San Bernardino, Calif.; two sisters, Ida Louise Hummell Kent of Nampa, and Bertha Averette of Vale, Ore.; and a half-sister, Mary Hummell of San Bernardino.
